Club Info
NC State Lacrosse does a Fall-Ball and Spring season. Playing in the Fall is not a requirement in order to play Spring lacrosse. If you intend to participate in the Spring, we highly recommend you play Fall-Ball. Participating in the Fall improves conditioning and team chemistry, for the upcoming Spring season. The Spring season is highly competitive. If you only plan on participating in the Spring, please contact the team officers. Practices are Monday and Wednesday nights in the fall, plus Fridays starting in the spring.
NC State Lacrosse typically plays other MCLA Division 1 teams. In the Fall, scrimmages are scheduled against Division 1 & 2 teams within North Carolina. The Spring schedule changes slightly from season to season, but the team plays most games against MCLA Division 1 teams.
To prepare for the season, RUN! Run for distance, and sprint. Get to the gym, find a wall, more sprints, find a buddy and work together on fundamentals. Many of our players will be out shooting on our goals (located on the IM field, or Method Road Field).
Our Conference - Atlantic Lacrosse Conference
The NC State Men's Lacrosse Club Team plays in the Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC), a division of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). The ALC consists of 8 Division I teams representing South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The NC State Men’s Lacrosse team is primarily funded by dues paid by the players. The budget is put together yearly by the team treasurer, and reviewed by the club sports office at NC State. NC State Lacrosse does receive a limited amount of funding from the university. University funding and dues go towards team operating costs, MCLA league fees, transportation, lodging, practice jerseys, and other required team clothing. If you have questions about dues, please contact the team officers. The total dues payment is generally broken-up, and paid at 2 specific dates (once during Fall-Ball, and second at the start of Spring). All players pay the same amount.
